On Copywriting & Conversions - The Words You Use Matter.

This was posted on Facebook for maid services and SaaS groups in June 2018:

We've just wrapped up an A/B test on the ZenMaid website that literally took 6 words and replaced them with a better thought out 11 words.

The result?

Almost TRIPLE the number of maid services who hit our website now sign up for actual ZenMaid trials (meaning we're now getting almost double the new customers on a daily basis compared to last week - **without finding any new traffic or running any new marketing campaigns**)

So, what did we change? What 5 words did we add?

Three changes were made to our top menu navigation and One change was made to our buttons. Here they are:

1. We changed "Success Stories" to "Who uses ZenMaid?" - maybe there's a bit more intrigue here? More than double our visitors now visit our case studies page - https://www.zenmaid.com/the-chozen-ones

2. We changed "Pricing" to "Your Pricing" - Let's be honest: if you're considering ZenMaid for your maid service right now do you really care about our pricing? Or do you care about the price that YOU are going to pay? I'm betting it's the latter ;-) - This increased the number of visitors to www.zenmaid.com/plans but not as drastically as the 1st change above

3. We changed "Demo" to "How it works" - Not really sure why this is more effective - maybe the implication that "it works" makes people read the rest of the site differently?

And finally:

4. We have Call to Action buttons on our website to either get maid services to start their trials or to "View Demo" - all we did was change "View Demo" to "How it works"

And that's it ...

4 changes, 5 additional words on our website and literally double the people who hit our site now go to our sign up page - and triple the people who hit our website end up signing up for a trial

So ... if you've got a bit of traffic coming to your business website at the moment, you might want to run similar tests or revisit your website wording :-)

(this test took us 5 days and 800 website visitors to get definitive proof that our new variation is better than the last one)
